STATE FALL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

SFLC is the first leadership conference of the year. This conference involves no competitive activities, and instead focuses on workshops and networking.
OPENING SESSION
The conference begins with the opening session. You will be introduced to the state officers, listen to a keynote speaker, and receive an overview what the rest of the conference has to offer.
WORKSHOPS
Workshops are the main focus of SFLC. These workshops cover various topics such as careers in business, improving networking and leadership skills, and college preparation. Some workshops go over different parts of FBLA such as chapter growth and improvement, running for state office, and tips for winning in your competitive event.
DINNER
At dinner, it's encouraged that you sit with people you don't know. Meet someone new!
SOCIALS
After dinner, you can change into casual clothing and enjoy some of the fun activities SFLC offers such as the dance or prize bingo (may change). You can also socialize with others at the pool, lobby, or in your room with your roommates.
BUSINESS TOURS
On the second day of the conference, you'll get to visit a local business in Des Moines and learn about what they do and where they came from. In 2019, FHS FBLA visited Smash Park, a place where you can play various games and sports, as well as enjoy American street-style dishes.
